History

Peter Green First bought his Les Paul from Selmer Music for the price of 60 pounds and was used on many classic Fleetwood Mac tracks including 'Oh Well', 'Black Magic Woman', 'Albatross' and 'Green Manalishi' in 1970 Green sold the guitar to up and coming guitarist Gary Moore who used the iconic burst across his career including his time with Thin Lizzy recording the iconic solo to 'Parisienne walkways' on it. Due to Financial Troubles Moore sold the Burst to UK collector Melvyn Franks who later sold the instrument onto Metallica Guitarist Kirk Hammett. In 2010 Gibson Honoured this iconic burst with the Collectors Choice No1 demonstrating its importance as one of the world's most famous bursts.
